Thomas Dunstan (Tom) Passed away on the 8th of July 2006, he was born prematurley at 22weeks. He has
a big brother Jacob and a baby bean also lost in the same pregnancy at 12 weeks.
Tom passed away due to several reasons. At 12 weeks when i lost the first baby bean, the placenta
was thought to have been infected then. The reason the placenta started to detatch was due to it
being infected, and i carry Group B strep, which was the infection.
I was in a slow labour for about 5 days without really realising, and my waters had gone too, i
thought it was just a lot of blood.
I was in Full labour for over 24 hours and was passing in and out of conciousness.
I remember him being born, i was alone.
My partner had to stay home with our first son Jacob. The midwives had dissapeared and he just
"popped" out.
I screamed and they came running in, he was trying to breath and his heart was still beating but
they did nothing, just scooped him up and i fell back asleep instantly. My blood pressure had dipped
seriously low.
When they brought him back in he was dressed in a little blue cardie, some volunteers make for the
hospital and a tiny hat and blanket. I couldnt stop crying and couldnt bare to hold him which i
regret.
The xrays concluded he had a birth defect , fused ribs.
When he was born after a traumatic and long labour, he was still alive, the doctors refused to resus
him as he was too small.His heart was still beating and he gasped for breath.
He has left behind a big brother, and a heartbroken Mummy and Daddy.
Tom will be resting with his great granddad now, who sadly passed away when i was younger.
Tom meant the world to us, and i wish i had done more to prevent what happened.
Mummy,Daddy and big brother Jacob miss you loads and will never forget you. x x x x x x x x

My darling Thomas, your little sister Georgia Grace was born on the 11th of January (you were due 11thNov06) and she is beautiful as i'm sure you know.
Please do not think we have forgotton you. We have no where to visit to remember you, we are planning on planting a tree.
I will always remember you, and i'm sure your daddy will aswel.

You've had me in tears, im so sorry you lost your little one.
i'm so glad i dont work in a hospital as i couldnt of let that happen, i'd have to try and save every baby that was born, even if i knew there was no hope.
rest in peace little one.
